on Saturday night it was still a go. It will be on Friday, July 18th, at her house in East MEadow. Don't think we had a time set, but definately in the evening - after work. It will be a potluck - for girls only.

I think I had volunteered to organize the food, just to keep a tally and make sure there were not 5 rice dishes and no desert

So lets wait for Marni to confirm, and then we can continue with planning our 'pots of luck' !

I am here - sorry, spent the day running around with hubby - now cooking dinner...

YES IT'S STILL ON!!!!!!!!!! I'm really, really, really hoping to have our patio in by then, but if not, then you'll have to excuse our lack of one (and some dirt as they rip up the area), but if you don't mind, I don't mind!!!!

For those who didn't hear about it - a while back Leelee tried to organize a bucket GTG, and I volunteered my house - this DEFINITELY wasn't intended to leave ANYONE out, so please forgive me if you didn't see it - ALL ARE WELCOME - BUCKETS DON'T DISCRIMINATE!!!!!

So, it's definitely on the 18th - times weren't confirmed, but I know many work till at least 5, so anytime after is fine. Shall we say 6 - 6:30??

Anna - are you still into organizing the food?

If we do potluck, we should be fine for food. Maybe a bring your own drink type of deal too (alcohol, nonalcohol, etc.) and I'll just have a couple of coolers with ice to keep them in?

I'll supply all the paper goods...

Also - this is a big thing - I'm so sorry, but it has to be BYOC (bring your own chair) - don't have too many of those yet...

So who's interested in attending????????????? (although Shamma says I'm abnormal, I'm really not!!!!)

Ah Marni - I'd love to come and finally meet after what, 2.5 years?? But that's the day after my birthday and I think hubby has some plans in the works (he better or else!!). But if it turns out to be free, I'd love to come.....

Have a great time - sounds like fun. By the way, all my BBQ's are BYOC too!!

edited to say - I just checked the calander - Friday noght sounds great.
I just got a BHG Potluck magazine - so I'll look through it and see if there's something good in it.

Nothing in the magazine - but this weekend I rotisseried (sp) a chicken on the BBQ - it came our really good and the BBQ is big enough for 2 chickens, and the chicken can be served at room temperature.

Let me ask the hostess if thats ok
