I have this week off from work. Yay. Except that it's not paid and I have to use my vaction time to ensure that I actually receive a pay check. So that's a little sucky, but on the positive side, a week off ain't so bad and I'm super lazy so I'll take it when I can get it..
All of my friends are at work this week, or in Selden! I have no one to play with. Monday I saw both my girlfriends which was unplanned and excellent, but that was one afternoon in the gaping maw of time in a week. My FH is at work this week too. I really have no one to play with.
There's still work to do on the apartment but it's work that involves a chopsaw (which I don't have), glass work (which I don't know) and lifting 3 semi-ugly cabinets chockful of semi-ugle china and knick-knacks into an attic crawl space without those pull-down stairs. I'm reduced to cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming and organzing the closet. I am so bored it's criminal. Also, FH unhooked his computer for the move and needs his laptop at work with him so I have no access to IM or LIW or you know, THE OUTSIDE WORLD until he comes home from work.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is this... is this week over yet? Can we skip New Years and let me go right back to work so that I'm not sitting at FH's watching the original Lolita on AMC which, btw, is very repressed considering the subject matter. Also, please stop making me watch the season of Gilmore Girls with that ill-tempered white-trash Jess who's sole goal in life is to nail Rory, poorly emulate James Dean and PISS ME OFF! And can I go back to work so that I don't find myself asking the dog if he thinks the curtains are straight.

I was, however just thinking about you!!! It's been ages! I'm one of three people at work and LIW is slow as heck!! We miss you!!!!
And, how, by the way, are you on LIW right now if you're FH disconnected his internet??

And I know how absurd it sounds to wish for work... but I'm currently watching the Asslee Simpson CryFest on MTV and I'm seriously contemplatin mixing ground up glass in my coffee.

I forgot about the ones I had and then Tim tried to throw them away last night! I mean, I am not a HUGE truffle fan but I don't know how you can just throw them away!!!
My week would have been nothing but shopping, cooking, laundry & returning if Cluelessbride had not come over yesterday and watched my wedding video!
But I guess this is how it's gonna be while I'm out of work ...
I cannot believe you would rather spend your time dodging the Slider ...

OH while you are here Farah - (hijacking Monkey's thread..) . I just wanted to give you a to tell you that I used your recipie for the rainbow cookies and that they were a amazing and such a smash! Though I think DH and I ate more of them than the people I was baking them for SO belated thank yous !!

WORK! He has something to occupy his time besides walking the dog and cleaning!
I could never be a stay-at-home wife. I am going stir-crazy! I don't know how my asshat brother's wife does it. She doesn't even have kids to keep her busy.... just a cat!!

I can sympathize, I'm off until further notice and we only have 1 car on the road...which he'll take to work today!!! SO I'm stuck here!!! WITH THE DOG!!! She's crazy I swear it....she's going to eat me one day or smother me.
At least I have my computer...that is if the crappy cable doesn't go out like it does almost every stinkin day

I'm pretty sure she's waiting for them to harden into petrified little red-yellow-and-green rocks so that she can sling-shot them at her ex husband next time she sees him (which will probably be at the christening of my first born child)
No, I don't think that 30-year-old hunk of bitterness festering in the pit of her stomach affects her relationships with others, why do you ask?

I ladies- Liz, I could beat you in a sittin on my but contest anyday! I did quite well on Monday! I get stir crazy, but then I just go for a walk.
I do make Jean leave his laptop home for me. My computer only fits in the living room & we have dial up & the phone cord is in the bedroom, & it is too long to hook up my old extension.
I think I'd do wquite well not working.
