making a speech at the wedding to your parents and fh? i would like to but i think ill be to nervous and won't know what to say.

have something written. i did at my engagement party...i forgot the speech at home too, but luckily i remembered it. i was nervous at first, and im usually not like that, but it was so worth it. it made everyone so happy and it made me feel like i showed my appreciation for them that much more. do it! you wont regret it!!

I know I am making a speech/toast because one of us has to & FH won't(not a good public speaker). I really have no idea what I'll say besides the usual thank yous & stuff. I am going to wait till a week before the wedding to do that.

you can..... have something written and have the DJ bring the people up and read it I did that b/c I thought I was going to be too emotional and cry so I wrote a speech for my great aunt/like a grandma and uncle and dedicated their song......
he called them up and read it and said....' the bride wanted me to read this b/c she thought she would get too emotional' my great aunt, me and many guest who know her cried and then the DJ had them start dancing then invited everyone in to join

My FI is going to be giving a speech about each set of parents. We are having each set of parent's wedding song played and have them dance to it and then presenting each mom with a bouquet and each dad with garter. So since I know that I will be every emotional, FI is going to give the speech.

Only the best man is making a speech at our wedding. We will do our speeches, for our parents, at the rehearsal dinner.

maybe ill have the dj , or fh do it, because i know ill be too nervous, but i would really like something read to them. i also like the idea of having the parents dance to their wedding song, thats cute.

I'd love to give one for my parents, but FH's parents are giving us such heartaches over everything and have no interest in the wedding so I don't feel it necessary to thank them for anything since they've only given us grief. At any rate, can't thank one set w/o thanking the other, so I will thank my parents in private.
