Are you allowed to......

When your pregnant are you allowed to...

1 - mow the lawn and do yard work

2 - eat tuna fish

3 - how much weight are you allowed to lift?

Just some random questions I was pondering...

!) No idea. I would say yes to yard work if you don't over do it.
2) My dr. is allowing me to have one can of tuna a week. But she also said not to have it every week.
3) I think you're allowed to lift about 10 pounds depending on fitness level before. In other words if you lifted weights before you got pregnant you can probably do more then 10 without worry. Everything I read said to keep it at a comfort level for yourself. If you feel like you're lifting too much then put it down.

1- I think you can if you have enough energy but I wouldnt overdo it, especially in the first trimester and the last, who the heck wants to in the last?

2- My OB was fine with me having tuna I think I've had it twice since Ive been preggo but I agree with Jenn, I think maybe one a week or so might be fine.

3-I am 7 months preggo and I lift my 28 lb son all the time, I have no choice. I do pay the price, my pelvis and hip bones ache when I get into bed at night. If you can avoid any lifting though, you should. He's about the only heavy thing Im willing to hoist around.

HTH, this is just my viewpoint though. With both pregnancies, I was especially concerned about things in my first trimester.

I was allowed to mow the lawn, but only if my DH started it. It is not a good idea to pull the cord to start it if you have to bend all the way down and pull hard. It depends on the mower.

I can have a can a week.
Chunk light is better than solid white albacore since it has less mercury.

Your lifting depends on what you did pre-prg. I lift Annalise since I am accustomed to carrying her all along. She is about 20-21 lbs.

My dr. said NO tuna
better to be safe than sorry. I have not had tuna since I found out that I was pregnant

you shouldnt lift more than 20-25 lbs I heard

I dont know about lawn mowers, but when you get further along your not supposed to push/exert yourself

I dont vacuum the rugs, DH does it now b/c its hard to push
I do the hard floors but I have to work hard on rugs
