Are you and FH...

paying for the whole wedding yoursleves?? Or are you parents helping you guys out?

We are doing 95% ourselves.....my parents are doing my dress, centerpieces and invitations....

we are lucky to have both families helping out, but of course ive tryin to save every which way so that we dont break their banks! hehe

Yup, we promised we would get married once we had the money saved for a down payment on a house, and enough for a wedding....

we couldn't ask our families ... they are struggling themselves

We are paying for all vendors and getting help for most of the RH and my step mom is buying me my dress.

We are paying for about 2/3 of the total cost. My parents are giving us $$ and they are buying my dress etc. for the day of...FMIL and FFIL are paying for the rehersal dinner.

my parents are helping out big time. I'd say they're paying for wayyy over half. I think that's so generous, especially since their goal was to save up and retire to South Carolina and I think this is setting them back a bit. Also, I'm sure FH's mom is going to help with some odds and ends, such as the shuttles to and from the hotel.

we are paying for everything - and now maybe a house too its rough - coming up with the money has been easy but for some reason we both worry even though we know we can afford it - i guess because the amount weddings cost is so ridiculous that it makes you sometimes

It kills me all the $$ we saved for the wedding just to see it all gone in the end.....:( But it'll be totally worth it.....

Nope wouldnt hear of it! FH & I are paying for the whole thing! Except RD & My Shower. Our parents will be giving us 'Gifts' only!

My parents are paying for the reception. His parents are paying for flowers,rehersal dinner and maybe limos.

we are paying for most of it ... My mom bought me my dress as her gift and FHs dad wanted all these extra poeple at the wedding, so he is paying for all his guests and his mom is doing the same. We are paying for the flowers, RH, photos, DJ, Video and limos, rings... did I forget anything? lol

At first FH and I were going to pay for it ourselves, but my mom stepped in and his helping out big time!! She gave us a generous gift and she is also paying for my dress, flowers, invitations, upgrades to the cocktail hour, my shower, my sister's dress, half of my photography, helping me with the BM's gifts, buying all my china and my shower!!

Man, writing it all down makes me sound like a spoiled brat!! I think she is trying to overcompensate for the fact that my dad passed away and will not be thee to walk me down the aisle.

But I totally appreciate everything she is giving me and it truly is turning into the wedding of my dreams!! I wonder if it also has anything to do with the fact that I am the first one in my family to get married

Us either....I wouldnt ask for it. My mom wouldnt let me by my dress.....as for my flowers and invites, she won $$ in a/c and thats how she got me to let her pay for those :)
