Yup..we are paying for the entire thing & want to enjoy every minute...Plus our bridal suite is not big enough for the enitre party

its actually pretty important to my FH that we do!

we have an hour and a half CH, and we are actually getting married on site so we decided to see each other before the ceremony to take pics.. so there is a VERY good chance we will be there for the whole thing. which is good... im excited about the CH!!!

So many of you are totally pro-CH so I just wanted to tell you a story.... my friend got married yesterday. For months, she and her (now) hubby were talking about going to their cocktail hour. This was a point that we disagreed on when planning our weddings (I will not be attending mine). Her and her hubby were SO gung-ho about their cocktail hour, the food, eating, etc. etc.
Last night they go to their cocktail hour and had to leave it because they couldn't get anywhere near the food because of all the people coming up to talk to them.
I think this is a good example of something you may not expect that day and it puts attending the CH in a new light. Just a heads up...

I think I will hang out in the bridal suite for a while first. They will be setting up some food there for us. Then I´m debating going to the CH just to see people (after i´ve eaten!!) for a bit. Not sure yet though because we might also have to take some pics. I have to figure out the details.

No we are not. We could if we wanted to but FH doesn't want to attend it. He wants us to make our grand entrance.

Definitely!! One of the most biggest reasons for us wanting to join our CH (besides wanting to eat the food of course, lol) is because I want to say hello to as many people as I can during the CH...I am not wasting half of my reception to go around to each table saying hello to every1, so they'll all be greeted in the CH. I have heard such crazy stories where the bride and groom didn't even get to enjoy their own reception, thats defintely not gonna be me!! And we are still doing our grand entrance!!!!!!!

As of right now, yes. My mother really doesn't want us to, she wants us to have that 'grand entrance' but FH and I would love to attend.

We are without a doubt attending. We want to be a part of everything that day. We'll still have our grand entrance as well. We also want to get some of the hellos out of the way during that time so we have more time to enjoy the reception.

I think we'll retreat to the bridal suite for a little alone time...then I'll have our BM or our DOC bring us a little food sampling and we'll eat, I'll get my dress bustled then hopefully we can make the second half of the cocktail hour.

I definitely want to get there, but I definitely want to eat the food too!! (And get some alone time with my new hubby!!)

We are going to the CH and then we will disappear for like a half hour but we are doing a 1 1/2 hour CH and then being introduced. I love CH food.

yes we will be going to CH... but i will try to convince FH if we could spend the first half hour of it in the bridal suite b/c i doubt we'll be able to eat anything once we get down to CH!
