Are you bustling your dress before 1st dance?

I can't hold my train really - it's got different cuts in it.

I think I have to bustle it before - anyone else doing that?

Yes. How I did it was immediately after the ceremony DH and I went to the bridal suite - we had the caterer place the passed hor derves, champagne, water and diet orange soda ( i am adicted to it) in the room. we just stayed there for a few minutes alone soaking up the fact we just got married. Then my DOC came in and bustled my dress. We had the CH and, then they seated our guests for the reception. Once everyone was inside, they announced us as Mr. nad Mrs. P and we went right into our first dance. Part way through the song they invited our parents and a minute later they invited everyone to join us.

Then we did the hora and chari thing. By that time they had all on the floor dancing, then, did a cople of songs. Served salad and intermezzo (passed on dance floor).
More songs, more dancing, more eating. It was a lot of fun. We would visit 3 tables. Take a bite to eat of the course, dance 2 songs and then take a drink, and repeat the three table thing. With the cake cutting, toasts, and dancin, and visiting the tables, we were done with the reception.

I think I will b/c the train is so long I don't think I'd be able to hold it up without falling down.

I am. Have to show off the moves we learned in our dance lessons.
Our instructor advised me to do so otherwise, my dress would complicate the turns.

I bustled before CH. I was afraid that it would be too heavy to hold and it would get stepped on. It got stepped on anyway but at least I could hold a drink
