Are you changing into comfortable shoes for the reception?

Are you changing into comfortable shoes for the reception?

I know I can't last in high heels for picture taking pre-ceremony and then ceremony and reception.

What comfortable shoes are you changing into?

My options:

1. Slippers
2. Sneakers
3. Wedged sandals

I hear ballet slippers are very comfy. Hopefully I can keep my shoes on all night.

when you change your shoes to flats, how do you keep from tripping on your dress/dragging it all over the floor

i thought i was going to, but my wedding shoes were so comfortable that i stayed in them!

I didn't change my shoes all night but I just wanted to point something out. If your dress is altered to your height in your heels and then you change into slippers or something you're going to be tripping on it for the rest of the night. Be careful!!!

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I plan to keep my wedding shoes on all night. Good excuse to get a foot massage from my husband afterwards!

I wouldn't wear HIGH heels wear a high enough heel that your feet wont hate you for it. I never wear heels and if i do its a big wedge because i dont' understand how women can walk around all day in those things. IoI

If you do change your shoes make sure its late and you wont care if you stomp on your dress. Personally at the end of the wedding your really not going to care about your dress so much since the pics are all taken... so do the flip flops or sandles.. slippers might be bad because they usually will make you trip even more wth a dress on.

I am wearing comfy shoes the whole day. I bought cute silver ballet flats from The Gap.

Agreed - I don't plan to pick really high shoes out either. I also plan to pick out ones that I find really comfortable.

I'd be less worried about ruining the dress during the wedding if I changed shoes and more worried about tripping over it all the time -- dangerous and annoying, too!

Same here! I bought cute white sneakers with a higher sole on them so I wouldn't trip. Didn't wind up needing them.

My FH is only about 2 inches taller than I am, so I will be in slippers the whole day

My heels were very very comfortable, so I didn't change out of them.

I'm planning on being in my ballet slippers alll day LOL...my luck I'll wear heels and bust my asssssss down the isle

I've been reading this awesome book called 'The New Jewish Wedding' by Anita Diamant, and she makes a point that one of the things the bride and groom are commanded to do is enjoy the day. I'm going from there hoping FW (who's not really so into the heels) will switch to comfortable shoes she can dance in. I'm just saying. with the amount of cash this thing is going to cost, we better get some good dancing out of it.

--the stealth groom, who knows he doesn't have to wear high heels and just wants his fw and all the ladies of liweddings to be able to enjoy themselves in comfort.

(giving meat eating, sports watching, bourbon drinking men a voice on liweddings since 10/10/06)
