As a kid, everything in the whole world embarrassed me.
Now, I'm selectively embarrassable. It used to happen mostly when I woke up hungover and slowly remembered things that I did or worse, when someone told me what I did because I was clueless.

Depends on who I'm in front of. Complete stranges I don't care bc I'll never see them again. Close friends and family I also don't care. Anyone in the middle, then yea I get embarassed.

I get third-party embarrassment for other people. Like when I watch the tryouts for American Idol. And The Office.
I was shy and easily embarrassed as a kid, but I think I pretty much grew out of it.

It's situational. I can talk about the lewdest things imaginable and not get embarassed. If a male co-worker says 'You look nice today', I get so flustered I want to throw up on myself.

I get embarrassed for other people too. Real life people, and people on tv. I get nervous and I have to change the channel.

That's a good point. The printer repair guy we used to have was super-hot and I got so giggly when he came in.
After he left, my office-mates would tease me endlessly about it.
One day the printer guy showed up out of the blue just to tell me that he wouldn't be my printer guy anymore because he got hired at FDNY. I was the whole time that he made a special trip for me.

Same here!! JW doesn't get it. I want to FF the Tivo but he doesn't understand why it bothers me!! I can't watch those stupid dating shows because sometimes I just want to smack them upside the head.
I think sometimes being bold, brass and obnoxious is just a cover up for being insecure or easily embarassed. It is like 'let's get it out of the way before I embarass myself accidentally. I will do it on purpose first'
I have actually toned down my obnoxiousness in recent years.

lol i can completely relate to everyone
i cant listen to those stupid 'phone taps' on the radio - not only bc they stink but also bc i get embarassed for the people!
i get embarassed for TV people - real and fake
i get embarassed for people around me too - i am constantly shhhh-ing people it is such a bad habit!
and i will think of the stupidest thing and get embarassed YEARS after. . .
for examples just today i was thinking about how in college i actually gave out my AOL address that included the word TASTY - bc i didnt want to make up a new one. . . even in grad schooL! to my professors and everything
what was wrong with me omg i am blushing right now!
