Are you FRIGGN kidding me!?!

APPARENTLY the apartment next door needs A LOT of work to be rentable and every night last week and this week there have been people there working on it! The problem is that it's noisy until around 10:30 and later!! DUDES I'm up at 5:30 every morning! I went over there twice - the first time this guy who looked like an oompa loompa answered the door and yes'd me that he'd be done in an hour...three hours later...still drilling! Then the second time this older guy (maybe mid 40's) didn't want to talk to me, he wanted to talk to my ti*s!! Grrr!! He said 'yes miss, no more noise, no more noise' and I said 'Okayyyy b/c i need to go to bed.' and he yes'd me again. And what happened... friggn drilling again!! I'm so SUPER pissed!

Phew. Thanks for letting me vent.

ahhhhh i'd go bridezilla on their a$$!

next time grab a pitcher of cold water knock on the door and throw it in their face when they open the door

I have this weird head cold/sore throat thing with a bit of dizzyness so i wanted to go to bed early. If it isn't the idiot upstairs singing Journey, the dork downstairs with his video games or the neighbors having constant sex then it's this random crap.

Does NyQuil help you sleep? If so, I'd chug some of that right 'bout now.
Feel better...seems like a bunch of people are coming down with that cold/sore throat thing.

i say go right over his head and contact the landlord.... you were nice the first few times- thats just crazy!

ughhh, that is super annoying!!!! i'm so sorry!!! hope it gets better though!!!

There are noise ordinances and the city has laws about when construction can be done....

I would tell you LL/management Co that if this happens again you will call the DOB (dept of Buildings) and report them and if you are unable to sleep they are in violation of your lease (the quiet enjoyment clause)

That's horrible! Def put the complaint in writing to the management and save a copy for yourself.
