I have an appointment tomorrow with a florist (my first). Is there any negotiating room with these things? What have you ladies done? Have you negotiated much?

There is definitely some room. I went to my first not knowing what to expect, went to another florist which was $2000 cheaper. I went back to the first and they cut about $1500 and I went with the original. GL!

I think this is definitely an area to negotiate! I know people are giving me higher places simply because of where I'm getting married. We keep getting quotes of $5k and I'm not even sure what type of flowers I want and I'm not looking for anything extravagant (I'm really not into flowers). I see the quotes other girls on here are getting so I know florists must be inflating their prices for me. I think you have to negotiate on this!

Yes, def! I shopped around, then negotiated with the one i settled for. My centerpieces where $50 cheaper than everywhere else, and she came down an additional $5 bucks per centerpiece after that! It all adds up

we've only met with one so far.. and he 'already came down in price' but it was far too much.. so we're prob using a friend of my mothers.

I didn't. I shopped around for the cheapest. I didn't go for the cheapest..the difference was only 100 bucks, but I liked her better. I feel I was getting a good value anyway.

There's no question about that. We will DEFINELY be negotaiting when it comes to florists. There are SO many qualified florists out there...you really should.

I havent done my flowers but I've heard from a friend who is a vendor that the flowers are the best one to neg with he said just know what you want and tell them the price you want them for good luck!!!

the florist I chose did not negotiate ( I tried) but he still offered me the best prices ive seen.
