Mya told me that i should get hi lites before the wedding because then my hair will have more dimension on the pics. I like the idea but it usually takes a while for my hair to relax afterwards and tone down. I'm scared that it will not look right for the wedding. Anyone else getting hi lites before the big day?

Yes and I would color a week before your wedding so the color is not so intense. If you've never gotten highlights before, you may want to try it 6 wks before your wedding so you get used to yourself with it and then recolor.

if I were you I would get my hair highlighted now, so you are used to it and you can change it a bit if you need to...then get a touchup before the wedding.

i may get a lighter brown not to n oticable but noticable enough to come out and look natural. i have really dark hair

I will probably get highlights, but most likely 2 weeks before the wedding. I have red undertones in my hair so getting blonde highlights for me is a challenge. Im going to get a nice caramel brown, just to contrast.

I already have hi lites but if you want to get them I would start now so you know if you like the color or not and just retouch before the wedding.

Yes - I have natural highlights from summer so I am just having my salon follow the natural color a week before the wedding.

I dont normally do high lights, but I went last week for them. But I was nervous about them being too dramatic that I kept telling them to go VERY subtle. Now I think they are too subtle so I am going back again in a couple of weeks. Then I will have a touch up the week before my wedding

I am probably going to get either a glaze or low lights about a month before the wedding - so I have time to adjust... I have dark brown hair which I keep natural, but have tried hi lites don't like how it looks...
if you've never had them before you should definitely try them now so you have time to go back if you don't like them.

Yes I am -- But i have gotten them in the past and havent had any problems - i have just let them all grow out over the past year so its nice and fresh for the wedding

I am not but I am dyeing my hair from a reddish brown to a darker brown becasue I heard that red does not show up as well in pics as brown.
