My FH thinks it's a bit of a double standard that the bride gets to pick out her dress without any of the groom's say, AND that she also gets a say in what the groom wears. So are you girls helping your guy pick his tux? I think most guys need our guidance in this matter of fashion. How about GM...are you helping to pick what they wear, or are you leaving all that up to FH?

Well, I do agree that we have to pick out the vests if you are not going with a white, black or ivory one. FH and I originally decided on black vests for the guys, and he came home telling me he selected a different one. Okay, so I asked him to show me the color. WHY did he pick out SAGE green vests?? The BM dresses are turquoise!! So now I have to go change them back to black. His excuse, Oh that was the color I remembered!

We had huge fights over this. Not only did he think he should pick it out himself, but he actually said to me 'I didn't tell you when the girls should get measured why should you tell me when the guys should'. Mind you this was 6 weeks before the wedding! We did end up picking out the style together. However, he put it off so long that there was no time left and I had to go order them all myself.

Oh, I'm going with him. He doesn't actually mind...he just thought it was funny that the girl gets to pick the dress AND the tux. Just wanted to see what you girls were doing.

Absolutely! I told FH that he could do it himself but he didn't want to. Good thing too because even though he has good taste, he wouldn't have tried certain things on because he didn't think they'd look good on him. The tux and vest he ended up choosing (and loving!) were actually things that I suggested and he was a little hesitant about at first. We both picked the GM's tuxes, but again, I had a good amount of influence

I went with him, but he ultimately decided what he wanted to wear. Unfortunately I don't think he was thrilled that I had chosen BLUE for my BM, but the vest he chose is very nice and he likes it a lot.

my fh and his 'boys' are all going together ... i trust fh and between all of them, they should be fine! plus, my dad will be there ... he won't let them do anything stupid!
