consult with you boss in regards to how many you're taking off for you HM??
I already booked my HM for 11 days.. and I planned on being out of the office a total of 12 business days. now all I have to do is tell him ...
I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem..as his daughter recently got married and went to Hawaii and stayed there for 14 days.. but then again his daughter doesn't work for him.
So will you tell your boss before or after you book your HM?

I am close with my boss and I already told her I need 2 1/2 to 3 weeks off for my wedding. She said she figured that already.

I'm very close with my boss so it won't be a problem with me taking off. I just have to figure out if I'm going directly after the wedding or a while later

I am really close with my boss so it wont be a problem. At this year's review i had asked if i could carry over days so that i do not burn all my vacation days with wedding stuff and he said we do not carry over days and he didn't want to start htat but that he will let me have whatever time i need no worries.

Fortunately I'm really close with my boss and I have been with him for nearly 5 years. We have the kind of realtionship where I tell him what I'm doing, not asking.
Regardless, if your boss is even somewhat reasonable he won't have a problem with you taking time off for your HM. The sooner you 'tell' him the better. It's your wedding-it's a once in a lifetime event

Well since I'm technically my own boss, i told myself that I hamd going on my honeymoon for 10days. I just have to make sure I have coverage in here!! What I have had a talk with the BIG boss about is that afte the wedding my hours will change. I will be leaving work earlier. Instead of 5 everyday I will be leaving at 3:30-4. Lets hope it works out

I am leaving my job in Sept to teach, I'm getting married in the summer so I will be off but if I were staying here I would tell them after I booked it, its your HM you should enjoy it and not worry about work. If they get pissed, Oh well.
