If so, what designer? I am trying to find a sexy dress (that's reasonably price-- like under $250 reasonable LOL) to wear for the last hour of my reception.........

I am definitely planning on wearing a second dress. It will probably be for the last hour of the reception, and then for the after party (another 2 hours). I found this terrible little pic somewhere (I'll try to post below) but I am in LOVE with this dress!! I'm planning on getting it made when I'm in Argentina in January. It's much more cost effective down there. I would check out department stores for white or ivory dresses in that price range-Nordstrom, Bloomies, Macy's.
sounds fun. im sure you won't miss 5-10 mins of your reception. thats like takin a pee break. lol
to be honest, i didn't even take a pee break all night
it was weird, i just didn't have to 'go'
i didnt either! i peed right before we signed the ketubah and not again until the afterparty
it just struck me...i don't think i peed either!!!!!
still i think a change is no biggie. i missed my whole CH for pics. Ya gotta do what works for you!

i honestly couldn't imagine leaving the reception to go change into another dress. it all went so fast, i wouldn't have wanted to spend any unnecessary time out of the ballroom. I loved my dress, and didn't even want to take it off when the night was over & we were back at the hotel.
It also just seems like an added extra expense, even if its only $250.
ITA. I thought about a second dress but the day flies by and I didn't want to miss a single moment by changing into another dress. Too much time away from the reception.

Hey I like the idea! I say go for it!! If my FH hinted that he would like a slinky sexy dress...I would be doing the exact same thing. The extra $$ is totally worth his face when you walk out onto the dance floor looking all sexy!
my FH cannot wait to see me in my reception dress - probably more than the wedding dress

you should def try the sale racks at the department stores. Im sure a lot of the lighter material dresses are going on sale now that all the fall stuff is comming out.

im not worried about changing - i'll probably change during a pee break like someone else said - i have a weak bladder and i need to go a lot - especially if i am drinking alcohol.....i peed A LOT during our e-party but i didnt feel like i missed much of anything....i think the best time for me to change would be during the VH b/c the VH is out on the dancefloor, so all i will miss is people waiting on line to eat my FH actually thought of a good idea - we may ask that some VH goodies are brought into the bridal suite - my FH can head in there for a few moments while i change and then and we can eat a little something in privacy and have a few moments alone together, without really missing any 'party' time....we figure we'll just see how things go that night - as long as all of our pictures are done before the ceremony im not worried about anything else

aww that's so sweet! i've been hearing that again and again-- take 5 minutes to simply be alone with your husband on your wedding day! It'll make all the difference in the world........ just had a BAD thought: what if my FH helps me get out of my gown and into my sexy dress I'm sure he'd love that!
