A guest book comes with the collection that we ordered but I'm not sure if we're using it yet

Yes. We're going to have guests sign an acoustic guitar (fh plays). I recently went to a wedding where we had to sign a baseball cuz the groom was a bball player... clever.

We are because I found a whole set that matches our theme. We got the guest book, pen holder, cake knives, and toasting glasses all matching.

yes - i ordered a personalized book from redenvelope.com and we put our engagement pics inside - guests will sign around the pics.

that sounds like a really great idea and its a good way to put the engagement pics to use

We did. I'd recommend it too. A lot of people say it's stupid, but we have a book full of beautiful things that family and friends said.

Tip: The book wasn't really signed...some have said to have the DJ make an announcement, but my wonderful Maitre D said...no one will get up...they get too lazy hehehehe...so he had one of his guys take it from table to table. HTH!

My father-in-law took our engagement photo and framed it in a matte that was signed by our guests. We have it hanging in our living room, and we're reminded of that wonderful day every time we look at it. I just don't think you can get that from a book that will be on a shelf.

No we decided not to b/c most people would just write their signatures and we thought afterwards it would just be a waste JMO

No, not at all.

It would be just people's signatures and many brides have said its a waste and is never looked at again...

HOWEVER, to commemorate and remember all the people who shared our day, we are going to have our photographer do table shots...
That's just a better option for us

I don't think we are having one! Although I like the one signed above. Kind of a year book from school! That's actually pretty cool.
