If they are married definitely and if they've been together for a long time

We are inviting the BP's dates, because we have a high minimum for the RD and a lot of them are from out of town.

Re: Are you inviting BP's dates to the RD?
All of our bp is married so they are all invited
However, I had an issue at my last wedding where it was a sticky point b/c groom's parents did not invite long time boyfriends & in one instance the girl was very offended b/c my groom was invited to their rehearsal dinner a year prior & at the time we were dating for 3 months.
I mean its obviously up to his parents if they are paying, but depends on the situation too.
Definitely hubbies/wives/engaged partners should be invited though

Re: Are you inviting BP's dates to the RD?
It is kind of rude not to invite them unless they are just dates that they are bringing for the heck of it. People may get annoyed or angry and you don't need that on your wedding day. A couple of more people versus a lot of frustration? If I were you, I would tell her that this is the way it is typically done-- maybe she just doesn't know.

Re: Are you inviting BP's dates to the RD?
i would think it's okay too. but my FMIL is paying for ours also. and i'm going to their house this afternoon to finalize the #, so i'll let you know later if she allows the S.O.'s or not! I would think if it's a 'serious' relationship then it would be okay.

My thoughts exactly...I would be offended if FH was in a wedding and I was not invited to the RD.

Re: Are you inviting BP's dates to the RD?
We invited all those with husbands/wives/significant others to the RD. We felt it was rude not to include them.

Same here. FH was in a wedding last year and I was not invited to the RD and I felt a little left out.

Re: Are you inviting BP's dates to the RD?
I don't think it's okay! We're allowing members of our wedding party to bring their gf's and bf's/wives/husbands - it's the only fair thing to do!!!

Spouses and SO, definately. Also, another point to think about............ If they are traveling, I say invite them. Could you imagine traveling OOT and your gf or bf goes to a rehearsal and RD, but you're stuck at the hotel hoping McDonalds is nearby because you have nowhere to go and no car?
We invited all of them with their dates and children

I think they should be allowed to bring significant others, but if their paying you really don't have a choice they may not be able to afford the extra people
