Are you inviting your minister/deacon/priest/rabbi to the RD?
FH mentioned this to me and I said no since we really don't have a relationship with him, but now I'm thinking it might be the right thing to do. Thoughts?

We are not. We don't have a relationship with him.

We did, but he can't attend ours. I thought it would be nice to have him there, but they can't always attend because of the schedules.

We don't know him at all and no one in our BP does so it's not like he'll know anyone there anyway.

Yeah, I figured this could happen or he would just say he can't make it since he doesn't know anyone.

We didn't. I don't think it's necessary unless you have a personal relationship with the person.

No we did not.. my mother wants me to but I am not we don't have a relationship with him. FH's uncle who is also taking part in the ceremony is going to be at the reception so that will do.

I'm referring to the RD not the reception. We are not inviting him to the wedding.

We aren't inviting him to the wedding period. I was asking about the RD.

Yes because he'll be there anyway. It's kinda rude to use him and except him to leave. Ditto for the reception, though I doubt he'll attend.

I don't think you have to. We're inviting ours because our family is close with him. But if we weren't close, I probably would not invite him.
