that's a Q that I'm back & forth about. I think the whole ensemble of a bride includes the veil.... however, what it the darn thing weighs too much? I'm thinking about having a 'breakaway veil'. Where it'll be long for the ceremony, then I take off the long portions of it, and just have a shoulder-length one for the reception ---- wah-la!

I have a cathedral length veil so I will be taking it off for the reception.

Even though I love it and it is silk, it is long - too long to wear all night. So I will take it off after our first dance.
