I was just wondering what everyone else was doing after the ceremony.

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
I wanted to keep my viel on but when I thought about I I figured people would be hugging me and dancing with me and I think it would get pulled on a lot na dend up getting ruined or my hair would start to get really messed up so I decided to take mine off.
IF I even wear one...it will come off immediately...
but this is a choice thing...while I love to see brides all dolled up, I know I will not be comfortable in the veil...its just not me...

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
I am keeping my veil on ALL DAY! I am getting a 2 tier cathedral veil. the long part will be detachable and will come off after the ceremony. I feel you are only a bride for one day, and I want to look & feel the part the whole day. The veil makes me feel like such a bride!! But its a matter of opinion to all. Thats how I feel

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
I am doing the same as jennbaby. It will be a cathedral veil for the church and that will come off and I will have a veil for the reception. It was something I knew I wanted to do.

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
My veil was at the back of my head, so I kept it on. It didn't get pulled or bother me at all. A waterfall veil might be more bothersome, but even if I had one I would have kept it on. I LOVED being a bride in every sense of the word.

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
I took mine off after the ceremony/pictures and I still felt very much the bride through the reception.
(as much as I loved them, I was so happy when I got to bustle my dress and take off my veil - I was free!)

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
I'm leaving mine on... You only do this once in your life, you should make the most of it. I'm also wearing the veil at the back of my head, so I don't think it's going to bother me at all. I've also seen pictures of the bride and groom at the reception, and to me it doesn't look the same without the veil. Just my opinion.

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
I agree Melissa. It is one day and I want to look like the bride all day. I am wearing mine also at the back of my head and I am hoping it won't bother me either.

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
Is anyone keeping it on whose veil is closer to the top of their head as opposed to the back? I'm leaning towards keeping it on all day, but it is going to be on top.

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
I plan on doing the same as some of the other girls. I have two veils: catherdral and fingertip. Catherdral will come off after the ceremony but the fingertip will stay on all day! I just love that look..It tops off the look!

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
my veil will be on the top of my head too, a waterall type. i don't care if it bothers me, i love the look and will tolerate it all day. It's just one day

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
Mine will be on all day. There are only 2 days in my life that I can wear a veil- my communion and my wedding day. I am not giving one of them up.

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
My cousin just got married and she had it on the top of her head and she kept it on the whole time. Doesn't look like she was bothered by it. Mine thought will be in the back of my head with a bunwrap!

Re: Are you keeping your veil on?
I'll be wearing mine all day. It'll be at the back of my head anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem. If it gets pulled out that's one thing, but I'm nbot going to intentionally take it off. Some friends of mine who have done it also told me not to - they regretted doing it.
