Are you ladies....

changing your last name??? The feminist part of me doesnt want to change it completely, but I also dont want to have a different last name than my FH and (future) kids. I was leaning towards hyphenating but sometimes I think it would be easier to just take his last name fully, less complicated. My last name is 8 letters long...his is 5...if I hyphenate, my last name will be 13 letters!!!

after many conversations and arguments I decided to change my last name to hyphenate it was just be ridiculous and doesnt sound good anyways. At first I was going to keep it but fh seemed so hurt.

so so far i think YES i will switch it lol...

I will be going from Canizalez to Garay...

for some reason i LOVE my 2 Zs lol... and my long last name... i think its too short his last name...

im changing mine. FH has a much simpler last name that no one ever misprounces its Brown plus i like that fact that we'll both be BB's he's Brian Brown and I'll be Brianne Brown. i think thats kinda cute.

I can't wait to change mine and play mind tricks on people because I communicate with a lot of people via email and phone so when they meet me, they won't be expecting an asian girl

eta: It's important to me to have the same name as my husband and children. Besides, my parents have a son. Their name will live on

Sure am! Although FH doesn't care, even if I told him to change it to mine he would lol I'm doing it because Godwilling when we have kids, I want us to all be one big D family! Plus it's something I've always associated with doing when I get married

I am but I am not happy with it LOL i have a serious attachment to my name and I really don't like changing it.

Professionally I will probably keep my maiden name but for our family and kids I'd like to keep is on the less confusing side.

Putting a hyphan would just be cruel - too many vowels and my last name now is 10 letters with his it would be 16 LOL

I am! I think it sounds softer and matches my voice more. Plus it's fun to say! lol

Can't wait till the day that I am at comicon and get to introduce myself with my new last name.
