Are you more creative than the people in my real life?
Apparently I know a lot of boring people.
I sent out this e-mail to all of the married/engaged/long-term relationship people in my address book a few weeks ago and got very few responses.
You guys are always so creative so I figured I'd look here for ideas too.
As you know, we will be getting married in October. We have a request for you. We have a project going that will eventually produce a scrapbook of our first year of marriage. We are making a list of 52 activities of all sorts and putting each on a scrap of paper, tossing them all into a vase or what have you and drawing one per week. Whatever gets pulled, has to happen sometime that week. We are asking you to contribute at least one idea. It can be whatever you want as long as it isn't going to get one or both of us arrested. And please not 'make babies' or 'move back to Michigan. We will take a picture that has something to do with whatever the activity was for the week... and put them in a scrapbook in order. We promise to report back with proof that we're being fun and productive. Thinking caps on? Okay go.
I got very few responses and some were really bad. So come on, my lovely ladies. I know you guys must have some ideas.
The ones I got that I can actually use were like: 'go rafting/tubing' 'do the winery tour together' 'swing on the swings at the park' 'have a pumpkin carving contest at halloween'
help?

That's some list, Nina
have a bake-off... have friends be judges
Spa day, get a couples treatment of some sort.
You know, this would make an awesome blog, so I think your first week resolution without drawing one, should be: start a blog! lol You'll be on your honeymoon prolly, but just set it up and continue it when u come back.
Try a new, exotic food like snake or octopus

Visit the Cloisters Go to the Liberty Science Center Celebrate Record Store Day (each year - this year we're missing it due to Alyssa's shower and Roz's wedding, woohoo! - all the record stores in the Village have special promotions, releases for this day only, vinyl, and last year we caught the Bouncing Souls play at Generation Records. Good times.) Go to a piano bar Go to FAO Schwartz, one of my most favorite places in the city. Go to the top of the Statue of Liberty - they just reopened it! Ellis Island Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge Paint pottery GO TO THE GUN RANGE!!!! (I sent you the info, right?) Strawberry picking, then make your own jam! Buy some sex toys (might not want to blog about that, still fun though!) - go to Toys in Babeland
