Are you NOT supposed to throw paper towels in the toilet?

Haven't you read the signs 'do not flush paper towels or feminie products' in just about every bathroom you have ever been in????

Those signs don't exist in my bathroom!!

At my parents house, the flush was like WHOA. You could flush ANYTHING. There was never a clog because it was so damn strong! I think I could flush an elephant and it wouldn't hesitate.

A couple of months ago my sister & I got yelled at by my dad for flushing tampons. The most embarassing conversation I have EVER had with my father. He then made me do a google search for little baggies to throw tampons out in. Then DH told me I had to get a second trash can for our bathroom with a lid so he & his friends didn't have to look at the little baggies. UGH.

aaahhh!! lol that's why I never flushed tampons down the toilet at home or anyone else's house! I just wrap it up in tissue paper until you can't see it and put it in the bathroom trash (no special tampon baggies)...is that gross?

No paper towels in the toilet...My sister did that once (a piece of it) and we had a clogged toilet 3 weeks later..My mom was insisting that it was the tiny piece of paper towel that she flushed 3 whole weeks earlier that was causing the clog all of a sudden.

yea got yelled at too for the tampons, I did it right before I went away somewhere and they made my sister clean it up. oops

Definitely didn't know about the tissues and paper towels, I've never done it, but now I won't!!!! lol.

yeah, dont do it....when I was a kid, my dog pooped all over the house and picked it up with papertowels and proceeded to flush them in the toilet....big mistake...I had to call the plumber

I think you technically aren't supposed to throw anything in other than toilet paper.
