Are you picking out the tux???
My FI wants to pick out his tux and surprise me on our wedding day....That makes me a little nervous. I have explained that I wouldn't pick out the 'one', but I wanted to give him some input on what will look nice(in other words...what I like)I just wanted to know how much input you all have on the tuxs'. Thanks Ladies!!

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
I have input on color. I tell him what color it needs to be to match my wedding decor and BP. He decides on style. My man has good taste, so I'm not worried

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
My hubby was a bit upset that I wanted him and I to do the shopping. I told him I had to be there to ensure that he chooses the right color to go along with the girl's dresses. You know he was going to pick out an all white tux for himself, he said so he could match me
It is a good thing I took a stand. He chose the style but I chose the color of the vest for all the men

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
I wanted DH to pick it himself but he wanted me to come. I went but he wound up making all the decisions himself. I think I was there for moral support. (The only thing I did request was he would use ivory instead of white which he did.) He has good taste/fashion sense so I wasn't worried.

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
I picked out one from mag awhile ago and showed to Mike, he said he liked it. but we needed to change color bc of bridesmaids dresses.went yesterday to order tux and pretty much, I picked it all out. I kept asking him his input and what he wanted, but he feels better with me picking it out, so thats what happened, we are both happy with it so thats all that counts

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
What makes me nervous is that he first told me he wanted to wear grey. Grey is nice, but I am wearing ivory and I don't think it will match. My girls are wearing periwinkle. I think black would look better. He agreed to that. Then I went on to say that I like the ascott(sp?) type ties, not the traditional bow tie....he said don't worry, I will pick out something you will love. So my response was...I can just go with you and then thier are no worries. I think he wants to feel like he did something on his own for the wedding since I have been making all the other decisions. He has helped me, but I have changed quite a few of his ideas.Should I just let him do it??? I'm am very torn in this.

He picked out his own tux but, I picked out what the GM would wear, with his approval

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
Nancy, I suggest you just be the Bride that you are and make sure you like it, unless it will cause an argument. Just go w/him tell him you have to make sure it will match your BP, and whatever you want him to change, somehow make it seem like it was his idea in the first place

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
He picked out his tux, the GM's tuxes and the Dad's tuxes. He said if I wouldn't let him see my dress, I couldn't see his tux. I wasn't worried though because we pretty much liked the same type of tuxes. And his sister was with him anyway for a second opinion.

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
I have been telling him that all the brides help in the picking of the tux. My sister in law also chimed in and her mother saying that I should have a say. I think he may be doing it more to get me crazy...he's loves to do that.. But maybe I'll tell him to pick it and I'll see it before the wedding. I am definitely not wanting that kind of surprise on the wedding day!!!Thanks ladies!!! I appreciate your input.

My brothers are both in the wedding party and I know they won't let him pick out anything too rediculous! Or I should say I hope!

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
My guy has great taste, so I am giving him free reign. I have told him the color I wanted, and he will decide on the rest. Of course I will see it before any money is exchanged.

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
I am letting him pick it, he has reassured me it will be a standard black tux (I can only hope). He wanted a white one w/tails - I had to tell him that he would look like Captain Steubing from the Love Boat if he did that (no offense to those who have worn that, it just wouldn't suit him).

Re: Are you picking out the tux???
I'm giving him some freedom on this decision. I may go with him, but I really don't want to influence his decision too much. It's his day, too!!!! I just want to make sure that the vests match the BM's gowns.Good Luck!!!!

We both like the same thing (Thank God) I think he will probably want me to go with him to pick them out.
