Are you providing transportation for your guests?

Are you providing transportation for your guests?

From the hotel to the reception, and back?

Is anyone just providing transportation back? (they can pick their cars up the next day?)

Just figuring out budget, and wondering if we can/should do this...

Yes we are both ways because to be honest as you price it out you will see its not really that much cheaper to do both there and back,,,,IMO

I'm not, with the exception of the bridal party.

Luckily this is something that my dad is very excited to do. We are providing transportation from one hotel to the reception and back for all who are staying there. He's really excited about it!!!

I wish... my parents don't get why I want to do this at ALL. I LOVE the idea of offering this to my guests... I just wish I can find someone who will do it for less than $500. THEN it would be a no-brainer to me.

Hmmm I'm in a WP and the couple is driving us out to the reception and then.... leaving us there. it's 3 counties away from the ceremony. None of us will have cars. We'll be stranded.

Yikes!!!!

Maybe you can drive your car there the day before? They should arrange a car service for you for that situation! That's CRAZY!!!

Are you bringing a date, or is do you have a friend who is going that can give you a ride back? Usually the BP will go to the wedding in a limo, but not back. This is not unusual. I think you need to stop being so bitter.

We may have to but are waiting to see how many OOT guests we have before we book.

Our hotel provides it for our reception hall, but it kind of affected the room rate. For $10 more per night the shuttle was included, which I think is worth it because 99% of the people in the hotels will be my friends, and I don't think any of them will be capable of driving back after the reception.

I think if you can afford it, it's worth it. If not, people always find a way to get around. I've heard of groups of people hiring their own limos or cars.

As long as we have 10 rooms filled at our hotel they provide a free shuttle to and from the reception for us. It is so easy this way. If for some reason only 8 rooms get booked we will just pay for the other 2-still alot less than renting a bus.

I don't think so, I believe most of my OOT guests are driving up or down to Li. Only for OOT BP members.

We are providing from the hotel to the church back to the hotel and then to the rh back to the hotel - we have many oot guests and we want everyone to be safe as possible and have a great time!!!!!!!!!!

Our reception is at a hotel but, otherwise we'd provide transportation from the hotel to the reception hall. We have a lot of guests that are staying at the hotel (and we'd have a lot of guests staying even if we weren't having the reception at a hotel).

We are providing buses from the church to the reception hall and then from the reception hall to the after party, which is a couple of blocks away from the church - the original pick up. As a guest at many weddings, I love when ppl. do this so we're going to do the same. It's looking like we'll be renting 2 or 3 55 passenger buses.

Re: Are you providing transportation for your guests?

we are having a limo for the BP to the hall and that's it for now. if i can find a shuttle to the hotel for a decent price, i'll get that. if not, then people will have to find their own way home unfortunately. i've never been to a wedding where i was shuttled around the whole night so i don't think it's that big of a deal if people have to find their own way home, honestly. i think it's nice and an added bonus if transportation is provided.
