Are you sending an invite to your parents?

My invitation reads:

Mr. and Mrs. My Parents
and
Mr. and Mrs. FH Parents
invite you to attend the marriage of their children
yadda yadda yadda

Would you send this to your parents?

Nope, although I guess they might like a copy for themselves? I don't know..

Yes:

1. Their names aren't on the invites so they're not 'giving it'
2. Both sets live out of state so getting the invite will get them excited.
3. They would be hurt if I didn't

Thank you, we are in a big fight right now.

I didn't send them one. I have already been to the post office (stood in the LOOOOOOONG Lines) twice to buy extra stamps for some last min invitees.

Why do I have to send one to my parents - if they want one as a keepsake I will hand it to them when I see them this saturday......

But my parents go and bad mouth me to the family to the point that I am getting phone calls from family members I rarely talk to saying how upset they are.

They didn't even tell me they wanted one! and on top of that, they have seen them and I have tried to include them in wedding details, but they have been no help.

GRRRR. Ok sorry vent over.

I will probably give them an invitation, rather than actually mailing it to them.

Oh that stinks! Just stick a regular stamp on it, I'm sure you don't have to put the love stamps on it or anything.

As a parent ~ I would like to say I would be excited to get my daughter's invite in the mail - even if I was the one who dropped it off at the post office.

Absolutely - I will give it to them when I see them this Sat - (I just mailed them last week) -
I just do not want to wait in line to buy another 58 cent stamp to send them one. It's not like I am trying to deny them a copy of the invite - I have like 20 extras I don't even know what to do with!

And it makes me soooo mad that they are saying bad things about me to my family. They are just so overly critical, no matter what I do they are never happy.

Sorry, bitchy mood tonight and this has really upset me.

I'll give mine and FH's parents an invite, just because I know they'll want to keep it, but I'm not mailing it or addressing it to them or anything.

I gave them one but blank because my step-dad wanted to frame it. I didnt mail it, just handed it to them. They paid for the hall they know theyre invited!
