Are you supposed to bring a gift to a going away party?
And if so what do you bring? I have a going away party tomorrow for a friend who is moving out of state.

I would not...maybe a card or something small, like stationary and stamps...so she can write!!
You could hold off and send a housewarming gift when she gets into her new home and sends you her address!!

i don't think you have to. but a small gesture might be nice. maybe a guidebook to their new city. or a bottle of wine for her to drink while packing. or a few boxes and a roll of packing tape ha ha. if you're not really close i'd just get a card. but that's just me

U don't have to I gave my Cousin a 50.00 gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond. buy something small card and a candle or something

I would bring a little something. I think the gift card is a great ideas as is the stationery. You could also get her something to remind her of NY!
