Are you supposed to invite.....

your Pastor or Priest to the Reception? totally clueless on this one.

We didn't and I wasn't sure if you are supposed to. Hope we didn't screw up. Is it too late if you are supposed to? Our RSVP just passed.

We are going to invite our pasor and his wife. If you're a regular at church and know them pretty well I would invite them.

We are inviting him, although FH knows him well. He used to work in the rectory at the church.

I was unsure about this so I asked the pastor that married us. He said only if you have known them. I just met my pastor a few weeks before the wedding he said usually he does not get invited inless he is close with the family.

my pastor is new to our church and my family doesn't know him all that well -- so I guess it's ok that we didn't invite him then I guess.

my mom is the regular church goer -- I wish we were in a better routine and went more often especially before the wedding

We are having three priests on the altar that day and we invited all three. The priest that will marry us is a family friend of FH's and the two other priests that are concelebrating are family friends of me and FH as well. It will be a very holy ceremony w/three priests!!

But, if you can invite your priest just as a courtesy.

Not sure if you have to or not. We are not going to invite ours since we are not members of the church and he is just marrying us. I will invite him and his wife to the rehearsal dinner though!
