Are you supposed to meet with photographer and videographer shortly before the wedding?
I booked 12th night for photography and Rambling Rose for video without meeting any of them. (planning from another state) I am confident in my choices, but wasn't sure if people normally meet with these vendors beforehand to tie up any 'loose ends?'
I only have two more visits to LI before the wedding and want to squeeze in everything that needs to be done!

I know I would definately want to.
My photographer and videographer said we would touch base a couple of weeks prior to the wedding and the week of the wedding. However, I've already met them and keep in touch with them every so often. It reallyt depends how you feel....

I would meet them in person to firm up any loose details, go over your list of must takes and just get a feel for their personalities.
jmo, I wouldn't want to meet these people for the first time on my wedding day as you are going to spend alot of time with them on the day of and want to feel comfortable around them.

Just wanted to let you know I met with Nick from Rambling ROse, and he's fantastic!! He had us laughing the entire night. He actually came to us!! I was surprised by that. Saved us a trip! He was SO nice. We booked him on the spot because of his fun personality. We want that for our wedding day, because the two of us are goofballs. I would probably meet with them to go over fine details and make sure they know what you want for your wedding day. JMO. Hope this helps!

Make sure time's are correct, must take Photo's and crap like that.

we did.. we had a photo shoot with our day of Photog just last week... definatly a MUST do!!!!!

I say I would make the time to meet with them, especially the photog. Even just to make sure the times are correct, go over the must take pic list, ect
OH BTW: I live literally 2 minutes away from 12th Night

I called mine , Velvet, (I am also out of state/DC area) and they said it wasn't necessary...no probs at all with photography or videography! Was thrilled with the results.

I would even if its just to meet face to face and say Hi! And while you are there you may find that you have questions or they will tell you things you didnt already know
