Are you tipping your dress consultant?

Are you tipping your dress consultant?

Is it customary to tip the dress consultant? I have received stellar service at my dress salon so far and was wondering if it is proper to give a tip after the whole process. I'm sure she is getting some kind of commission off my dress (which is not cheap). I do feel I owe my beautiful dress to her, since she was the one who convinced me to try it on.

If cash is not good, I considered a $50-$100 Gift Cert to Saks maybe... did anyone do this? what do you think?

i actually am having a really great experience with the lady that helped me and the 2 girls that helped ALL of my BM's. I really think that is such a great idea.. i dont think i can give that much. but maybe a little gift.

Jennifer,

Yes -- a little gift is what I want to give her, but when I think of my dress I get so overwhelmed and happy and I want to give this woman so much more LOL!!!

I think it is certainly a nice and unexpected gesture, as I am sure they usually just get a thank-you card.

HMM looks like I answered my own question!

I agree- I am tipping the lady who helped me pick out and try my dress.
Saturday i went by to verify the color in person of the sample dress to help accerorize and she was right there finding the dress for me.

The day I went there- she helped me when I was trying on and selecting. She even told me that my dress looked better on me than a more expensive Eve of Milady Dress.

I tipped her she was totally appreciative and for any of my fittings I am going to go through her.

Sorry so long- Yes I agree
