Are you tipping your photographer??? WHAT ABOUT FLORIST?
i thought it was customary NOT to tip the photographer- i mean they are getting thousands of dollars already from you....
AND THEN i just got a final confirmation email and in it says
'Your photography and video booking will provide you with TWO photographers and ONE video on your wedding day. A gratuity for their hard work is customary and would be greatly appreciated.'
what are you ladies doing?????
Edited to add in florist- it seems everyone is tipping the photogrpaher - so might as well ask about florist since i have NO CLUE

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
I felt the same way. They get so much money and my photographer owned his company so he was getting it all. I still tipped him the day of the wedding because I was just tipping everyone else, felt strange not to.

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
Unless your photographer actually owns the company, they should definitely be getting tipped. You are paying the studio thousands of dollars, not the actual photographer.

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
I felt uneasy about tipping before seeing their work, but everyone told me I have to tip and trust them...so thats what we r gonna do.
Florist I have been told no... I heard just tip 10-15$ to the delivery people...

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
No I am not, but my photographer owns the company. If he did not I would be tipping him.
You gotta remember that, while you are paying them thousands the photographer is not actually seeing most of that.

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
I absolutely am! Photographers work so hard the day of and then afterwards in post production. I want my photos retouched beautifully and if I want something retouched 3x I want the answer to be yes. :)

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
I tipped all 3 of them even though 1 was the owner... I wasn't sure about it and did tip because I felt it was better to have tipped than not to have (especially if they are used to getting it...) I figured the owner would refuse it if he wasn't supposed to take it

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
I plan on tipping. They work hard and they're with you all day. Even if they do own the company they should get tipped, unless they're totally slacking

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
I think we have the same photog co Our guy deosn't own the company so it is customary to tip. I'm going to tip. Figured I'd give $100 to head photog, and then $75 each to the other two.

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
I'm definately going to tip my photogs/videographer. The way I see it is the photogs and videog are two of the most important vendors for me and basically the only vendors that you will be dealing with after the wedding so I want to keep them happy LOL.

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
I plan to tip. I thought that it was customary to tip every vendor you use for the wedding day although I have heard that if they own the company you do not need to as well. I guess it's what ever you feel comfortable with.

Re: Are you tipping your photographer???
I plan on tipping my photogs and videogs. they def. deserve it. They are all just workers so I would assume its the owner that gets a good cut of the $$
