i thought we were going traditional as well but FH informed me he would like us to write our own...eeeeeek

We are writing our own. I wrote my first draft recently. I am a little nervous about pouring my heart out in front of everyone, but I am trying to just say what I feel to FH and make promises that will be meaningful and true to him.

we wrote our own & it made the ceremony very personal for us...

We are not writing our own vows but we are not using the traditional vows either. We are having a non-denominational ceremony and Rev. Deb had some very nice alternatives to the usual stuff.

We are going to use traditional vows. I know this sounds terrible but I can't be bothered!

Dh, totally took me by surprised, when we went to meet with the pastor he announced that we were witting our own vows (I had no clue he even wanted to do this). The night before our wedding he told me he has memorized his vows to me (talk about pressure). So I had to memorize mine, everything went well the day of, it was nice to say our own vows, and people really loved them.

We are writing our own vows too. I am not a big fan of this..it scares me lol but it is important to FH....

No, I'm too chicken. I know I'll get too nervous and screw them up. Either that, or I'll cry hysterically.
