ARGGGH! seating charts are rough!

I need advice/help...
What should I do???

I seem to hit a 'hitch' everywhere I turn with these seating charts, wanting to keep people together in same families, seemingly one or two gets excluded...
Then some friends i wanna put together I realize it ends up becoming the 'gay' table....by mistake--lol I cant do that

Then I have a large puerto rican side to my family and my one aunt who is a major racist would need to go at one of their tables.... so that doesn't work...

then a cousin is bringing her babies so I'm trying to find a 'baby friendly' table to put her at, was gonna put her with my aunt and mom at parent table, but my mom doesn't want to have crying babies during toasts etc which is understandable....

all tables are either 10 or 12 people

Figuring out seating and figuring out where to place each table in the room was the HARDEST part of planning for DH & I. It caused disagreements, late nights and some tears on my part

We kept families & groups of friends together as best as we could. We didn't want to *force* anyone to mingle by seating them randomly, we figure if they want to be out going and get to know others they will.

I have already been asked by my FIL's to have them help so that they guarantee they are not hearing it from their family

Tell me about it...I keep either getting phone calls or little notes back in my RSVPs saying 'Sorry but we can't be seated with this person' or 'we MUST be seated together'

Re: ARGGGH! seating charts are rough!

honestly i was lucky and all the families got to fit in tables with the same family (or side). All co workers had their own tables, friends had to be split but tables wll be next to each other.

Remember you can mix up the counts per table that is what i did. So try to do fix it there. Unless you CH makes you have a certain table number per table then just slap them all on one table 'table of rejects' that are fussy people.
