Argh! Garden City Hotel is booked! Any other suggestions?

I can't believe it! I had my mind set on the Garden City Hotel for the bridal party 'getting ready' pictures and our wedding night, and it turns out that they are 100% booked! (They said it has been booked for a while, so, calling earlier wouldn't have helped.) ARGH!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a really beautiful hotel in the Nassau County area? We're taking formal pictures at the Old Westbury Gardens and the wedding is at the Riviera in Massapequa, so I don't want to stray too far from these places.

How about the Roslyn Claremont or the Fox Hollow Inn? Good Luck!!!

I second Roslyn Claremont. I saw one of their suites when I looked there for reception stuff and it's really pretty.

the fox hollow is beautiful too, but there is a good chance that they are booked as well. i tried to block more rooms for my october 23 wedding and they told me that they were booked solid.

That sucks! I know they are really busy, we had to tell our guests to book really early. All of our blocked rooms are booked.

I would try the Roslyn Claremont Hotel, it is very pretty.

Try the Inn at Plainview.....brand new hotel. Check it out....they give gifts to birdes who book throught LI weddings.....just mention that you saw them on the site

We booked the Inn at Fox Hollow. It is really beautiful.

Try Harrison House in Glen Cove. It's very nice and the hotel is right there too.

I am getting ready at the Roslyn Claremont and it is beautiful! I did look at suites in the Wingate- they are HUGE! They would be great for a wedding party. I chose the Claremont b/c it is closer to the reception (for afterwards) and I only have a matron of honor. If I had a big group, I definitely would have gone with the Wingate

I second the Winngate -- they just re-did their bridal suites!!

Also try the Hampton Inn.

I know the Inn at plainview is charging 179, comes with a jacuzzi, fridge, microwave, and have great bridal packages....give them a call 516-694-6500

The Big Bridal Suite at the Wingate is $349/night. They also have junior suites from $269 - $299. If you reserve 10 or more rooms, they give you a discount on the bridal suite. They also have a shuttle bus you could use. I think it is free if you have over 15 rooms booked. This is where we blocked the rooms. Everything was redone and they give a free continental breakfast.

I am doing the bed and breakfast at Oheka (w/just FI and I)...the price is not bad if you were considering staying at Garden City..Fm me if you want more details..

I also really liked the Fox Hollow Inn.
My guests are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn on Old Country Road..It's brand new and very pretty!

We're using the Melville Marriot. They have a beautiful indoor atruim with plants and mohogany woods that look great in pictures. Plus the photographers can go to the different balconies to shoot from all different heights & angles.
