dammit! when I went to my fitting yesterday, my feet were killing me by the time I left - turns out my super comfy shoes are not so comfortable after all. I'm gonna try to break them in more..otherwise I guess I'm on the hunt for shoes w/ the same heel height.

oh, that stinks!! can you get other shoes to change into? I bought flip-flops for the reception. I know no matter how comfy the shoes I got are they will still be hurting after a few hours of standing.

I'm considering shoes to change into but I'm being really picky! I mean, how comfy, really, are fli-flops for dancing in? I think they're great for general walking around but am I gonna be falling all over the place dancing? And I like ballet slippers but sort of feel unglamourous in their flatness....

Re: arghh..shoes
do you have insoles? when I bought my shoes they gave me small insoles that go where the balls of my feet are.
I am also getting 'petals' for the sole, b/c it's slippery and I don't want to bust my arse! LOL
my shoes are strappy sandals too, so it can definitely be done.

You could try those 'Dr. Scholl' insert for sandals. They are removable gel insole. The only drawback in that they are black but you can't see them when you stand up in the shoe. It's meant not to be seen. I bought a pair for some summer shoes.

Re: arghh..shoes
did you try JCrew for flip-flops? not sure how much they are, but they usually have ones with a thicker sole. The fabric near the toes is cutting into me, otherwise they are ok...I have to fiddle around with the straps and see if that makes a difference

Re: arghh..shoes
they may feel better once you break them in they say you should break them in first before the wedding and fittings so that they don't hurt ... I hope it works out!!
