Has anyone taken pictures at or plan on taking pictures at Argyle Park in Babylon Im thinking about going there to take our pictures after the church before the reception. I already called and no permit is necessary... just curious if its a pretty place for pictures?? it would actually work out perfect cuz our RH is located in babylon as well

I am thinking of going there as well.. it stinks cause its right on a busy road.. but I think the park is pretty.. it has a rustic look to me.. they have a bridge that would be really cute for pictures.. but there are always people on it and fishing (for what I dunno)... so you have to kick them off!

yup beware of the goose poop! I live right by there and it's a big problem, but it's a really pretty park. Right across the street is a little marina with a gazebo and a lot of brides take pictures there too.

lol but i certainly wont mind kicking anyone who is fishing out of the way for me to take my pictures!
i past it a few times, i think me and FH will take a ride there tonight and take a look around!

its a problem in ANY park..not just there...Dont let it hinder you from going...there was tons of goose poop at the arboretum...i just watched where i stepped...it was fine!

also, be careful that there isn't a line of brides waiting to take pics too! whenever you don't need a permit and can just 'show up', you run the risk of EVERYONE having the same idea. this is one of the reasons why i decided to book with old westbury gardens.....yeah, it was $275, but we get our own guide, no other brides taking pics in the same area at the same time, and if it rains, we can use the mansion (harbor link, although i love the place, doesn't really have an 'inside' option).

We go there quite often to take landscape photography, so I do know it well. It's really nice to take the walk around the pond too (though probably not in your gown LOL). It can get a bit smelly due to the poop haha, so if you can stomach it, I don't see why not!

we took pictures at oakdale arboretum...its about15 minutes east of babylon...it was 100 dollars and was fabulous!
