I know he's been very politically active (funny that its as a republican and he's married into the most famous democratic family in history), but I just can't take him seriously.

california politics is infuriating. everything is such a mess out there. there are recall elections often & tons of referendums. anyone read the article in this week's time magazine? it said that the clintons are funding the davis campaign to keep him in office. they figure that if it works, hillary would get all of the electoral votes of CA & NY & could sweep the next presidential election. ahhhh politics!!
i like arnold. love maria. they seem genuine. but he wouldn't have my vote! another weird thing, 'davis might lose the governorship with 49% of the vote & be replaced by Candidate X with 10%. there will be dozens, perhaps hundreds, of candidates. all it takes is $3,000 and 150 signatures to get on the ballot.' (from the time article). its because there is no primary election for a recall.

you said it spel! There are currently almost 400 registered candidates for this recall election - its absurd.
I'm not against actors becoming politicians - I'm well aware its been done before (waiting for Tom Hanks to run). Its just this is ARNOLD - the Terminator! Strikes me as funny!
but they elected Jesse (the body) Ventura, so anythings possible.
Clinton's theory to get Hillary in office didn't work for Gore - he got CA & NY and still lost, didn't he?

all I can say is that is that I CAN'T WAIT to move our of CA and get back home to NY. This place is nice to visit, but I am so tired of it. (No offense Californians!)
