around 715 this morning z100 mentions LIWEDDINGS on the radio

I was cracking up...apparantly it had to do with the fact that brides wrote in upset about the comments regarding holiday weekend weddings...they sort of apologized...

I actually love listening to the zoo in the morning, so it was pretty funny to hear them mention the site....(sorry to the girls who are annoyed with them right now.)

just something to the fact that a bride wrote in saying that danielle was wrong for saying what she did...that she had a wedding and she should know how expensive it is etc...and how she buys knock-off bags on the street and how that is being cheap...etc......

I got into work today at 8:00 am and the first thing I did was turn my radio so I can hear if they mention LIW.

Of course, my luck..I missed it!!

Wow they mentioned it again??

My friend said they read part of an email I wrote them yesterday (Tuesday) morning. I didn't hear it myself. But I didn't say anything about Danielle buying fake bags on Canal Street.

Oh man, I was in the shower, I missed it. I did hear them talk about it yesterday though and I did get annoyed, but I couldn't be bothered with writing or calling in to them.

That's funny though. I picked 4th of July weekend b/c my company gave us off the 3rd and the 4th, now that is 2 less vacation days that I have to use for my HM. Also less days my guests have to take off and it gives everyone time to recoop. I had everyone in mind.

Yup!!! I planned my wedding a week and a half before Thanksgiving, since we have Thanksgiving and the day after off. It was two less days I had to use for vacation time. AND it gave us 3 full days to recoup from the jet lag (we flew home Thanksgiving day from Paris).

So now your 'insider' is causing drama on LIWeddings. I didn't get involved until now because I thought it was kind of childish, but now I feel the need to put in my 2 cents. I have been listening to the show for over 9 years, I love you all, still miss Chrstine, and Elliot (told you I have been listening a long time) Brides are insane! Anything about weddings is going to set them off. Long Island weddings cost more than probably any other place in the country, my wedding bill is already over $110k(you are all welcome to come! October 21)! While it is not your place to choose the date and time for someones wedding, you all had every right to voice how you feel about weddings planned for holiday weekends. I think it was wrong to bring up being cheap, and found that offensive. Not everyone is as blessed as we are, and you have to keep that in mind. ..You were even talking about it today, about people buying knock offs...I find it funny that Danielle called these people cheap, but buys bags off the street..I also find it odd that she got married during off peak wedding time, in New Jersey which is a lot cheaper than NY. Please think before you speak ..I love Danielle, I honestly do, her wedding pictures and video are all gorgeous, but think back at what you spent on your wedding, and unless it was upwards of $150k, maybe you should really think twice before calling others cheap. I think you are all entitled to speak about whatever it is you choose, but to go as far as reading posts from these women, that was uncalled for. I honestly think you owe these women an apology.

So am I..I didnt think they would even care...Im really happy that they appologized for speaking so foolishly

I haven't checked the thread yet today, but there was one going on the BHB board. Jen had a great point - people/DJs voice their opinions over the radio all the time...do we expect an apology for everytime we don't agree with one of them?

I personally think the whole thing was really silly. Today we care b/c we're planning our weddings, but if we were to hear this same debate next year, well then...it wouldn't even be a debate. Our 5 hour events will just be a memory!
