i keep seeing shambles of houses being bought and then redone and put back on the market for hundreds more than what the person bought it for..why don't i have money to do that??? i hate the market and i'm never going to be able to buy a house..i'll always live in my co op

dont frustrated we didnt think we would ever be able to afford a house and we did. i did buy a shambles house and im fixing it up and evetually if i need more space ill sell it. you can too just dont get down about it. you will find the home you can afford you just have to look at the potential it has. i was discouraged by so many including the one i did eventually buy but after seeing a friends house i saw that these houses really do have potential they just need a lil $$$ and a lot of tlc. ill send you some pics if you like

They do that because they factor in their time and effort into the work done and increase in price.
If they only sold it for what they paid for in materials... why bother?

oh i understand that its just frustrating to see that they have the money to invest and then to make more money when i had to buy a co op and couldn't even afford one house nonetheless a house on every block to resell
