Artificial flowers on Cake

Ive decided in order to cut expenses to use artificial flowers on my cake ( I work for an artificial flower co) The hall said they would decorate the cake with what I bring them but what I dont know is if just the heads of the flowers are good enough ( will they be able to stay on/in cake) or should I leave part of the stem?

I know with natural flowers they use a little part of of the stem (they did in mine) so I'd leave a little bit.

I agree. I also would leave a little bit.

I bought candy flowers. Mine went with my wedding theme of calla lillies. They were beautiful.

I bought 3-4 packages, each a different size. Each package was ~$3. I was stopped at the NYC culinary arts school and grabbed a few boxes the day before the wedding. The students supply the products for the store across the street. All the chefs shop there, as well as anyone else who's found out about them. VERY reasonably priced and they have almost any flower or leaf you could think of.

Just a thought. I found it fun to be able to keep and eat the decor.
