Aruba

I've been to Aruba on vacation. it is a beautiful island, not very big. You can rent a car, but it is a little expensive. We did for a day just to do something different and get off of the resort, and literally drove around the island. Taxis are reasonable and plenty. There are a lot of good restaurants - I did an all inclusive but would not do that again.
One plus about Aruba is that the weather is temperate and it is out of the hurricane belt.

Fishbones is a lovely small restaurant on the beach. It is very, very romantic. Make sure you see the sunsets in the evening. Unbelievably beautiful. The sun looks like it is melting in the water.
Kuku-kunuku is a fun party bus evening tour. Concierge at the hotels will know about it. Everyone on the island does. Starts out with a champagne toast at the California Lighthouse at sunset. Party continues from there.
A lot of sunset cruises, daytime catamaran snorkling trips. Red Sail Adventures if I remember the name correctly. The operate out of Palm Beach.
Sun is pretty intense, so bring lots of sunscreen.
Can be a bit breezy too.

I have been to Aruba before and I will be going there for our HM in two weeks.
I have asked around and everyone has said that you don't need a car to get around. The island is not that big and there are taxis.

Things are very expensive there since pretty much everything has to be imported....
