So now Im considering Aruba for our hm (dont ask theres been like 5 changes so far) and definately want an all inclusive. I know there arent all that many. My friend stayed at the Riu for our hm just a few months ago so I dont know if I want to go there as well (i know thats stilly but still). So Im thinking about the Occidental and saw the Divi and the other one, not sure how its spelled, something like Tamarijin. Any others that you can suggest or do you girls have reviews on the ones I listed above?
Thanks!

Re: Aruba All inclusives
We really wanted to do an all inclusive in Aruba as well. It was also important to us though to have a resort that was couples only. We didn't find any all inclusives in aruba that were non family oriented so we decided to go to St. Lucia...it was awesome! I heard really good things about the resorts you listed, but for us we wanted to have a couples honeymoon!

Re: Aruba All inclusives
My suggestion to you though is with Aruba I wouldnt do an all inclusive. There are SOOO many AMAZINGGGGGGG restaurants in Aruba that you are barely going to eat at your hotel. You can leave the resort and head into downtown its safe its not like other places where you cant leave AND there are SOOOOO many activites outside your resort to do that IMO all inclusive isnt worth it there.
I stayed at the Raddison when I was there and it was GORGEOUS, clean, GREAT room, they upgraded us for free (and it wasnt our HM just reg vaca), the conceriege arranges all your dinner reservations and activities even though its outside the hotel, and the staff is SOOOOO friendly. As are All the people, they offer great advice about places to go and things to do.
Its a great spot for a HM.

If you want something on Palm Beach (the high rise hotel area) then i would go w/ either Riu or Occidental. I have heard great things on both, Occidental was really nice... when i was in Aruba they were in the process of building the Riu so i didnt get to check it out

Re: Aruba All inclusives
I'm a big all-inclusive person, but it was suggested to me by a travel agent not to go to Aruba for an all-incluisve place because there are so many great restaurants.

I Have been to aruba numerous times AND all different hotels! Reinassance is my favorite for the private beach. Its called Flamingo Beach, and yes on the adult side there are flamingos literally walking around.
I will agree with what one of the other girls posted on here... Don't stress over the all inclusive because there are a lot and i mean a lot of good places to eat on the island. And yes a 100% safe the island. Whats we did last year was got a one of those little over the shoulder coolers and stocked it was some beers, and when we ran out we charged the rest to the room. At least this way we weren't getting totally robbed with the outrageous prices.
Riu is gorgeous if you want to do the all inclusive...
I do not recommend the Divi, i thought it was just, lets say 'run down' Especially for a young couple on their honeymoon.
I have a lot of pictures from last Oct (Reinassance stay) and Oct 2006 (Marriott stay) FM if you would like to see.
All in all i really do not think you wouldn't be disappointed with Aruba, I would be going there if I haven't been there like 6 times or so... I am just trying to see more of the world

Re: Aruba All inclusives
I would try the Hyatt in Aruba. That's where we are staying next month for our HM. FM me next month and I will let you know how it went! We were also told by a travel agent not to do an all inclusive because of the large variety of restaurants on the island

Divi Tamarijn:
I just went to the DIVI this summer. I don't agree- I would still do the all inclusive- though yes I would suggest going off the resort and eating in town for dinner. But for me the All inclusive was still a good bet- because it can still end up getting expensive, everything is based on the dollar- so things are not cheaper just because it is an island. The drinks were average 4-6 dollars each and restaurants are similar to eating anywhere in ny city- so it was nice to have the option of eating lunch in the resort then going to walk around and maybe just get some fresh coconuts! and I like eating breakfast close to the resort, having drinks by the pool, etc. So what we would do is have breakfast hang at the pool beach and then go into town... we also rented a jeep and drove all around the island- wonderful to go at our own pace...
If you are going for your honeymoon, I would recommend going to the sister resort of the tamarijn... I forget the exact name but it is only a little further down the beach. The tamarijn side had a lot of families and kids (which I didn't mind- but it also wasn't our honeymoon) The other side is an older crowd and the pool is nicer, etc...
