we are back!
IT WAS AMAZING. Perfect weather - ocean is like a bathtub. The Hyatt was beautiful though the restaurantss we thought AWFUL - so we explored and found some great places!
THE FLYING FISHBONE. My fave restaurant ever now! On the beach, chairs and tables in the sand, candlelit with excellent food and service. a MUST go - a bit out of the way but WELL worth it. We went there 3 times!
CHEZ MATHILDE - LOVELY. French, expensive, glorious, intimate. A litle blotto the next day though!!!![]()
GAUCHO - definitely do it. Lots of good steaks - lots of food and very 'cattle call' like but worth it for sure.
Skip the Italian place across the way from the hotels. And personally any place in the Hyatt. We found it all way overpriced and quite frankly not good at all.
Baby Beach - FUN! GREAT snorkeling! The current was a little much for me out in the channel are- I thought I was going to drown (even though half my body was out of the water![]()
). If you go a bit past Baby Beach there is another little private lagoon area. NO crowds and the strangest little pet cemetary..VERY neat. VERY private. You could PROBABLY pull some hanky panky....if you were THAT kind of girl!![]()
Natural Bridge is a must see and really just driving around in general is great. Rent a jeep end of story.
The Atlantis Submarine thing was nice - we saw tons of barracuda, shipwrecks, lots of coral and stuff - very pretty. And LOTS of laying around and gambling! All in all - a great honeymoon location - and tell EVERYBODY you are on your honeymoon! they all give something special!![]()
