Aruba-best places to stay?

We are going to the travel agent on Saturday and this ( Aruba) is one of our top choices...I seem ( for the money ) to like Radisoon the best...any other suggestions...Hyatt is out of our price range...thanks! ( we also dont want all inclusive, we only eat abnout two meals a day and would not be worth it for us)

We booked the Radisson. From what we could tell, Radisson and Hyatt are the two best and from what I saw, similarly priced. The Radisson had balconies in the room though (the Hyatt doesn't) and my FI really wanted that.

make sure you tell the travel agent to specifically request a room with a balcony because there are SOME rooms at the Radisson that don't have them

We are staying at the Hyatt--but what about the Marriott?? I heard great things about it-my parents stayed there and loved it.

my friends stay at the Marriott all the time and love it.....it's a bit less expensive too. the only thing is that the grounds are not as exotic and beautiful, it's more plain. Which is fine, because you can always visit the other hotels. But for my honeymoon, I just wanted it all.

We are staying at the Marriot Renaissane which looks amazing. You can do all inclusive if you want, but you dont have to. One of the things that got us to book there was that there is a boat that goes through the lobby of the hotel and takes you to your own private island...we just couldn't pass that up!

We booked the Hyatt. It is 'supposed' to be the best hotel but we had looked at the Radisson as well. You can't go wrong with either. I have only heard bad things about two of the hotels down there so I think most are a good bet.

Marriott Ocean Beach Club. It's a four star hotel with a Spa. That's all I needed to here! I'm there! That's where we're staying.

Radisson was UNBELIEVABLE! Would stay there again in a second. FM if you want more info.

We loved the food, the place, the view, happy hour, pool, location, and price!!

We are staying at the Renaissance. It looks amazing and has its own private island!! In all honesty, choosing the hotel was very difficult for us!! The bottom line is you just can't go wrong, I have heard wonderful things about each hotel. I think it comes down to personal preference and budget!!

We are staying at the Hyatt. I love the pool so I loved all their pools, their restaurants and the grounds. Octbrode03 stayed at the Hyatt for her HM too and loved it.

My fiance and I got engaged in Aruba this past march! We loved it there. We didn't totally love our hotel (the Wyndam) but walked up and down the beach a lot. I would agree with the others that the Radisson looked beautiful and the beach front (chairs and thatched umbrellas) were great! Enjoy!

We were torn between thw Radisson and the hyatt. We went with the Radisson because they have ocean front rooms with full balconies. the Hyatt only offered pool/ocean or garden/ocean (in our price range) and had french balconies, ( ou travel agent said it was like a fire escape and we would have to lean over the edge to see the ocean. I'll be there in 6 weeks, so i can let you know first hand what the Radisson is like!

Just out of curiousity and if you don't mind... how much is everyone paying for airfare or is it part of the package... we are being quoted close to $900 for airfare in August which is the low season. With hotels its coming out to $1500 a person... my mother went a year and a half ago and didn't pay nearly that much. Just wondering....this isn't my HM so we are not looking to go completely top of the line.

KathleenG we stayed at the Renaissance when we went to Aruba on vacation. It was very nice. There is a small boat that comes directly into the hotel and picks u up and takes u to the private island. On the island there are flamingos that walk around and iguanas that look at you like you are visiting there home. It was very nice everyday we went on a diff trip and I made sure to visit the hotels casino and the spa. ENJOY
