OK so we've totally done a 180 with the honeymoon process, we were going to do Hawaii but don't want to blow that much money so we're going to do 2 weeks 2 different places. We have 1 week of a timeshare to use, trying to decide which hotel to put in for though is SO HARD, i want to make sure I'm making the right decision I've read hours of reviews and looked at pics but I'd rather hear from you girls especially if you've actually been to these resorts.
We're putting in for these 4 Aruba resorts for one of our weeks, any feedback?
1. Marriott Aruba Surf Club 2. Royal Palm Club at the RIU Palace Aruba 3. Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino 4. Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort
Thanks in advance! This is harder than planning the wedding!

Re: Aruba Honemoon Help
FH and I stayed at the Renaissance last month and had an amazing experience.
It's not on the main strip of hotels (but they are all very easy to get to by cab or bus), so it's actually kind of nice and quiet--perfect for a relaxing trip. We stayed on the Marina side which is adults only. Everyone there was just like us, either on their honeymoon or quietly vacationing. The pool on that side was awesome.
One of the best parts is the private beach! There is a boat that picks you up in the lobby and takes you to the beach (about 10 min) and it feels secluded and reminded me of a lagoon. There are two sides of that, as well-family side and adults. There are rafts you can rent (highly recommended!!), flamingos and iguanas that are just roaming around and a restaurant/bar right on the beach. I also loved that there was a giant rock wall in the water so you weren't just out in the open ocean, and nothing else could get in.
Food was great, we ate at the steakhouse the first night and I'm sure it was great, but we'd just gotten engaged so I couldn't taste anything, I was on cloud 9. There are little cafes nearby for a quick lunch or dinner. We usually ventured to Palm Beach for dinner to experience the other side of Aruba. We also would go out on that side.
The weather is amazing..never rained, it's a little cloudy, but sometimes it was nice! Very windy too, so it didn't feel like it was 900 degrees.
Feel free to FM me or ask anything else! I know a bunch of girls on here have lots of great things to say about Aruba

Re: Aruba Honemoon Help
We are staying at the Riu. FH and I wanted to have somewhere that was all inclusive so it meant that we had to choose between the Occidental and Riu.
My FBIL and FSIL have been to both and they said hands down the Riu!

If you're looking for All-Inclusives, the RIU is definitely the place to stay. If not, the Hyatt is actually the nicest hotel on the island. My best friend and her husband stayed there on their honeymoon and had a great time.

Oh no Paula! This is where we are going. Hopefully there arent many kids in March. Or Spring Breakers...
Alex- when James gets home I'm sure he'll comment on this post. He's been there twice but I don't remember the name of the hotel.

Paula, we are going to the ocean club marriott. NOT the surf club. Yes, the surf club is PACKED with kids due to the kid friendly pool area and waterslides etc. I would book the ocean club marriott or one of the other resorts. All 3 others are nice. I like riu palace the best but thats jmo.

Re: Aruba Honemoon Help
So you suggest the ocean club over the surf club? I wasn't sure if they were the same resort

yes, ocean club over surf club. we have a choice between the 2 and are going with ocean club. A lot less kids and everyone i spoke to that make frequent visits to marriott aruba said ocean club. You can always use the facilities at the other clubs if u stay at the ocean club anyway.
