Re: Aruba honeymoon

Okay well I found out something that I think all of you that will be visiting Aruba will enjoy if not 'love'! it is called Pampered in Paradise. The Hyatt hotel does this. You have to pre-book b/c they only do two at night one at 6 and another at 8 p.m. They set up dinner in a tent on the beach for the two of you at sunset. You choose the dinner you can get a guitar player, photographer, or flowers sent to the tent. They have all candles lit. You take your shoes off to walk to it and you dine in the most romantic atmosphere possible. I am not sure if guests staying in other Hotels can do this but it's worth asking. What week are you guys going? We are also staying on the Regency floor, anyone else?

Re: Aruba honeymoon

Me and my fiance were just in Aruba for Thanksgiving and if you want to go to a romantic Restaurant you have to go to Simply Fish at the Marriot, it is right on the water and you can soak your feet in the sand while you are eating.... Very nice place!!!

I MUST agree with nrsedee!!! My DH and I honeymooned in Aruba in Dec and Simply Fish, by far was my favorite place!!! It was right on the beach of our hotel, the Marriott...the food was excellent...you'll have to see the atmosphere for yourselves...romantic is not even the word!!!

Re: Aruba honeymoon

We are going to Aruba on our honeymoon too !! We are staying at the Hyatt as well. My fi's boss has a time share in aruba and says that the hyatt is the absolute best hotel. We are leaving for aruba on the morning of 08/08 so it sounds like we will be there around the same time.

eta: aly&mike just read your other post and we are also doing the sunset dinner beach thing. We were told that you have to stay there to do it, but who knows.

We are also going to Aruba...we are staying at the Radisson. I would love to do that tent thing though...I'm going to have to find out if we can do that at our hotel...or if they Hyatt lets other people do it. Thanks ladies!

Re: Aruba honeymoon

I am pretty sure that the going rate to fly to Aruba is standard year round. I would say around 800-1000 per person. It is very expensive to fly....

Re: Aruba honeymoon

Well if you can't do the tent thing then I also head the Flying Fishbone was also very romantic...and a place called the lighthouse...

Re: Aruba honeymoon

They Flying Fishbone was wonderful - the most romantic setting - the water was practically at our feet during dinner...

Great memories....aahhhh......

I WENT TO ARUBA LAST OCTOBER WITH MY NOW FIANCE AND ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. WE STAYED AT THE HOLIDAY INN WHICH WAS GREAT FOR PEOPLE NOT ON THEIR HONEYMOON. WE ARE GOING BACK FOR OUR HONEYMOON AND ARE STAYING AT THE HYATT. 2 GREAT RESTAURANTS WER MADAM JEANETTES AND EL GAUCHO. WE ALSO RENTED A JEEP FOR THE DAY AND WENT ON A DRIVING TRAIL. IT LED YOU TO THE NATURAL BRIDGE, NATURAL POOL, LIGHTHOUSE, OLDEST CHURCH, ETC..IT WAS A WONDERFUL DAY OUT AND WE GOT GREAT PICTURES. WE ALSO DID THE COUPLES SPA AT THE MARRIOT WHICH WAS VERY RELAXING. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT TIME THERE.

LONG 'ARUBA TIPS'

I have been to Aruba four times. It is absolutely my favorite island. The locals are incredible. They are so welcoming and so friendly, which is really important. The Hyatt, Radisson, Wyndam are all great hotels. There really isn't a 'bad' place to stay there even the less expensive places are great i.e. Aruba Grand. Our favorite restaraunt was El Gaucho - one of my faves ever. If you enjoy sushi there's a great place in the Radisson for that. You must see the natural bridge and pool. My favorite way to do that was on a horseback riding tour-beginners are welcome. There are also two dinner cruises that were great 'Tattoo' which was more like a party boat atmosphere and another one that serves a formal French dinner. Snorkeling is fun, the water is beautiful, and the weather is never too hot because there is always a constant light breeze due to their relation to the equator.Make sure to take a walk along the beach and visit DEPALM pier. They have tons of activities you can participate in, boat rides, water sports you name it. You're not coming back disappointed. SORRY THE POST IS SO LONG JUST WANTED TO BE OF ASSISTANCE
PS. I highly recommend renting a jeep so you can see the entire island and go hopping around at night. We get ours from Amigo rentals across the street from the airport, not luxury but fun and cheap. They have a website so you can book early and pick up right when you arrive.
I'd be happy to help anyone if I can, just drop me an FM

Re: Aruba honeymoon

It's also a bit cheaper to book through Expedia.com, unless your set on having a travel agent. I tried it both ways and my feeling is that Liberty Travel didn't tell me anything about Aruba I couldn't have found out myself online. Also make sure to tell the airline your interested in being bumped up to first class. There were empty seats there for us on American once and we did it it for only $100 each, what a difference. I've never spent $800 on tickets.
