Didnt stay there, we stayed at the Wyndham but honestly I cant see ANY of the hotels/resorts being bad in Aruba. Aruba is just amazing!

We were just in ARuba, and the Occidental was being renovated. The beach in front of it looked very nice.

Re: Aruba Honeymoon

I just booked Occidental Grand Aruba - grand romance deluxe oceanview for HM in November. My friend's cousin just went (she stayed at Radisson) and she said it looked great!

We wanted all inclusive too along with a nice pool and great beach. I would love to hear feedback on how the new renovations look and also about the food, drinks, etc. The old reviews of Allegro said the bathrooms were shanty and the rooms need to be updated. I hope everything is top notch now.

Has anyone been there since renovations have been completed?

If you do all inclusive you may lose out on seeing and eating at some great spots....but Aruba rocks and you will love it there.

A little off topic but have any of you girls eaten at Flying Fishbone? Is it really worth the expensive cab ride to eat there?

So any times we said we would go and didn't. The cabs really add up. If I were you I would do a day trip to Baby beach, I belive that's the beach near it, and then go there. Yes, you may be all yucky from the beach, but it's better than coughing up 40-50 bucks for a cab ride!

There are so many great restaurants in Aruba nyway that I wouldn't worry about not going.

If you want more info, FM me, we just bought a timeshare there!!!

We LOVED the Flying Fishbone. We took a cab from downtown and it was $22. The food was really good. We also really loved Papiamento.

I also reccommend doing the dePalm Pleasure Catamaran Snorkel tour... They take you to 3 separate places to snorkel, have unlimited drinks, and very yummy food!
