Re: Aruba Honeymoon

There is so much to see and do in Aruba. If you want to stay in the high rise hotels, I suggest the Radisson or Hyatt. They seem to be the 'honeymoon hotels' of the strip. Low-rise, def the Bucuiti. Low rise hotels are quieter generally. So, it depends on the vaca your looking for. If you up for going out and having a good time, you should check out Carlos and Charlies at least once (just for the experience) and def do the Kuku party bus. We did the ABC Jeep tour of the island, which was great. Some good places to eat are el gaucho, madam janettes, flying fishbone, salt n peppers. I love aruba, cant you tell FM me if you want any specific advice or questions answered.

Re: Aruba Honeymoon

We only did one thing...took a bus tour of the island.

The rest of the honeymoon was spent lying on the beach or by the pool...resting or soaking up the rays....BUT we have a timeshare there so we will be going every year....plenty of chances to do stuff.

Id say do water sports---snorkeling is great or take a sunset dinner cruise.

Go to Aruba forums

It helped me ALOT before i went to know the ins- and outs of the island.

Its just like LIW but for the best place in the WORLD

Re: Aruba Honeymoon

You *have* to do the kukukunuku party bus. It was so much fun. We also did the half-submarine, which goes by a shipwreck and reef and you can see out the windows of the boat (I can't swim!) and the Le Dome Sunset dinner cruise.

For eating out, don't miss Mirandi..best meal we had in Aruba ..I've heard a lot of people say that.
We also liked the Flying Fishbone alot.

Look at my review of the bucuti if you're interested in the low-rises. Also, hmpena wrote a great review of her HM, with lots of great pics of the acitivites they did...they stayed in one of the high-rises. hth!

Re: Aruba Honeymoon

We went to Aruba on vacation last year, and it was great. It's VERY windy over there though..I have to say. We took the ATV tour which was nice..because we got to see the Natural Bridge before it fell an the Natural Pool. We also did Horseback riding..which was nice because it was a private tour. Aruba is a very nice place....have a GREAT time!

Re: Aruba Honeymoon

We're going to a destination wedding in Aruba June 30- July 4th. We'll only have about 2 1/2 days of free time between the wedding and travel time. I'm definitely going to spend some time on the beach, but we also want to do some tourist stuff. For those of you who have been there before, what's the best stuff to do and places to eat? We have to cram a lot of stuff into a small amount of time! thanks!

Re: Aruba Honeymoon

We had all inclusive and found that our hotel had great restaurants. However, once there they are very helpful with letting you know what's good for food and tours. I think horseback riding is a must..it's absolutely beautiful.
