Aruba Honeymoon?

Hi Ladies,

FH and I are about to book honeymoon and I think we are going to go with Aruba. To those of you who have been there, can you tell me how your experience was? Can you recommend any hotels? (or any hotel that we we should stay away from) Thanks!

we stayed at the Divi all inclusive about 2 years ago. the beach there was by far the best beach ive been to. it was secluded and lots of room, and the water is gorgoues. it is far away from the high rise hotels so the beach isnt packed. the hotel was alright, the food wasnt the best. you can travel back and forth for free to their sister hotel down the road. aruba has sooo many great restaurants that we ended up eating at them even though we had all inclusive at the hotel.

IT was AMAZING!!!

We stayed at the RIU PALACE!! such a gorgeous place! its all inclusive and the people their are soo awesome! food is awesome! you will eat soo much!

Ive been to 2 different RIU resorts, Aruba and Cabo, and they are by far my fav all inclusive resorts!!

you are going to have a blast!

while you are there you have to step away from the all inclusive and go eat at the Flying Fishbone! make a reservation as soon as you get to aruba so you can get a table on the beach with your feet in the water while you eat!

need anymore ideas what to do feel free to ask!

Re: Aruba Honeymoon?

We just went in October and it was amazing. We stayed at the Hyatt - it surpassed our expectations. It's one of the most beautiful hotels there and in a great location (close to everything). It doesn't offer all inclusive but I definitely recommend not doing all inclusive anyway just like people suggested to us when we were booking. Aruba is known for their amazing restaurants and you are not going to want to be stuck eating at your hotel every night. We were there for 10 nights and still didn't make it to all of the recommended restaurants that we wanted to! When we met other honeymooners on excursions staying at all inclusive hotels they said that they were sick of the food and going out to eat - so they ended up spending more money.

Restaurants you shouldn't miss:
Madame Janette's (our favorite)
Texas De Brazil
The Flying Fishbone (your table is on the sand with the water hitting your feet - sooo romantic!)
The Screaming Eagle
El Gaucho

Have fun!

I stayed at the Hyatt- very nice and walking distance to go out at night. If you like to gamble they have a casino in the hotel.
I second eating at Texas De Brazil- as long as you are not a vegitarian!

I went to a destination wedding in 07 at the Renaissance Suites, it's the sister hotel to the Renaissance Resort & Casino. They are about 3 blocks from each other. It was great b/c it was located on the strip with all the dinning and shopping plus you get to use both hotels for the pool or the boat to take you to the private beach since they are connected. I personally loved the suites!!!

I absolutely LOVE Aruba, honestly we had such a GREAT time, we went two years ago for New Years. Make sure you go 4 wheeling! We stayed at the Marriot in the city part, which was nice because it was close to all the restaurants and shopping. When we went 4 wheeling, he took me to see the other hotels and they were AMAZING. My parents stayed at RUI and it looked like a PALACE, but I hear the food (all inclusive) wasn't so great. The Hyatt is beautiful, my brother and my BFF both stayed there and loved it.

My suggestion: Don't do all inclusive, there are many GREAT restaurants there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
