Re: Aruba Hotels?
We stayed at the Renissance. This one is in the city. All the rest of the hotels are on the other side of the island. My sugestions if you want more beach stay at any of the other ones. If you want a lil more to do stay at the Renissance.
I here the Divi is a really nice hotel

Re: Aruba Hotels?
there are a lot of good ones. just ask before you book if they are doing construction. we stay at the radisson, but i heard that the hilton and wyndham are nice also. also depends if you want to be downtown or in the hotel strip.

Re: Aruba Hotels?
We stayed at the Aruba resort spa & casino (used to be the Wyndham). Check to see if the construction next door will still be going on b/c it was a little loud some mornings when we wanted to sleep in. I wish we would have stayed at the Radisson though, it looked a little nicer

I agree. We stayed at the same place. I liked it better then the other place because we were so close everything. If your up for a day of hitting the beaches rent a car. We did and had our own adventures....

I also stayed here for my HM in January. We did not have any problems with the construction and thought the hotel was very nice.

we just got back from our honeymoon; the first half of it was aruba. we stayed at the aruba resort, spa and casino as well. i'll be honest... yeah, they have an all inclusive package but every meal we went to, there were surcharges on everything. other than horse back riding one day, and a couples massage at the spa - we didn't do anything, so all the rest of our money was spent on food that was supposedly 'all inclusive'. and we spent more money there than we did during the following week in disney. other than that, yes, the construction next door is still going on. the only other complaints we had... were minor... but i'm being honest... no cold water in the sink; our safe broke 3 times; the toilet broke; and the mattress was WAY uncomfortable. and our room was upgraded. plus, i felt that the people that worked there... they were nice... until you made a complaint, any complaint - then they got really nasty with you. oh, and they lost our reservations when we booked the dinner on the beach. but the room was pretty, the view was amazing. the hotel was clean. pool and beach were gorgeous and the food was INCREDIBLE. i've heard great things about the radisson though; if i went again, i'd probably try there.

We did the all inclusive as well, I definitely dont recommend all inclusive, the only thing it was good for was drinks. Yes, surcharges on everything was very annoying. We spent an extra $20/night on dinner due to the surcharges. Supposedly, the beds will be upgraded soon, but ours wasnt the most comfortable. The hotel is still in the process of changing hands and management was a little difficult to deal with in a situation that we became involved with.

Re: Aruba Hotels?
We stayed at the Radisson for a trip last year. It was wonderful and the Radisson has the cleanest stretch of beach - they must comb it every day because when we took a walk down the beach, we noticed a difference. They also have plenty of palapas which is important - esp if you're planning to go during a high season. You don't want to have to fight for shade and beach chairs. I also really like the area the Radisson's in - there are plenty of nearby restaurants and town is not far away. The next time we go, we want to try the Hyatt, but only because it's in the same area and we've heard lots of great things (and they have a really cool waterslide really appeals to DH), not because we didn't like the Radisson.

I would recommend the Hyatt or Radisson -- both are really nice.

Re: Aruba Hotels?
We stayed at the bucuti and loved it. Way more private and less crowded than the high-rise area. Depends on what you are looking for.
